Guinness World Record for Largest Hula Hoop workout. 221 students from Longleaf Elementary School in Florida, as part of Guinness World Records Day 2011. This is awesome! But now I want to beat their record.

First Night Charlotte 2011! Hula-Hooping during the daytime at First Night Kids. What a fun way to bring in the New Year! The weather was sunny and 65 degrees we couldn’t have had a more perfect day. A huge “THANK YOU” to the organizers and sponsors for providing a place for children to celebrate.

Cara Zara & Anneliese Playing with Our New Hoop Toys
I’ve been playing with making new hoop shapes. Circles inside of circles. Circles on the outside of circles. Trios and quartette of circles. Spirals of hoops and interlocking hoops. My daughter Anneliese and I are having fun experimenting with new configurations and sizes. Here we are on an unusually nice winter day trying them out. They are huge and it’s hard to find a place inside to play with these.
